The Adams Point Beach association manages the beach at Queechy Lake. Summer-long memberships and one-day passes are available to Canaan and New Lebanon residents. Free one-day beach passes are also available on a first come, first served basis at Town Hall during the Town Clerk’s regular business hours.

Canaan Neighbors Helping Neighbors 

Canaan Neighbors Helping Neighbors provides grants of up to $750 three times a year ​to directly pay a bill such as the monthly rent or car payment, or provide a necessity such as fuel, food or eyeglasses. The assistance has helped many families that either live in the community or have a family member who works or volunteers in Canaan. Many difficult financial situations have been averted thanks to the generosity of the Canaan community.
